3rd class are working on subtraction with renaming in school at the moment. Parents may have used the 'borrow, pay back' method and this might cause some confusion with homework. Here is a link to a short tutorial on this topic.

A Very Special First Holy Communion

Picture
Conor, Aisling, Faye, Donagh. Evan, Timmy, Ella, Leah, Sarah, Mia, Lucy, Ciarán, Patrick and Chloe celebrated a very special First Holy Communion on the 19th of September. Due to Covid restrictions on the original date, their First Holy Communion was postponed until their return to school. The children put in a huge effort to learn their prayers, navigate how to receive their communion in their hands and complete lovely artwork in the short lead-up time for their ceremony. God's blessings shone down on them through the beautiful sunshine that came out just after the ceremony ended and the parents' association very kindly provided lovely goody-bags for each child.
Thank you to Fr. Riordan for a lovely ceremony and to all the staff who played a role in preparing the children.
