Mr Byrne Rang 2 & Rang 3
Communion Children 2020:
On Saturday the 16th of May, some of our pupils were due to receive the sacrament of First Holy Communion. It’s important to remember your special day was not lost and will be celebrated in the future. Fr. Jerry O’ Riordan sent a lovely message on the Saint Lachteens Parents Facebook page to the boys and girls due to make their Holy Communion where he said we must be patient and do what Jesus asks of us at this time; to help out at home, be kind and to look out for/think of the elderly in our community especially our Grandparents. All of the staff in St. Lachteen’s would like to let the Communion children know that we were thinking of them on what should have been their special day and look forward to sharing that day with them in the future. Here are some photos of some of the children due to receive the Sacrament together while staying apart.

Wellness : Gratitude/Happiness Jar
I would encourage the children (and the whole family) to have a gratitude/happiness jar.
Add to the jar once a day or once a week with something that has made you grateful. It could be a day without rain, talking on the phone to a loved one, baking in the kitchen, playing outside or cuddling up to your pet! This will help us focus on the little things we can be grateful for in our lives.
